Beggars Fair Team 2016

If you want to join our team or help in any way, beforehand or on the day, then we’ll never refuse an offer of an extra pair of hands. This annual event is run entirely by a small group of enthusiastic volunteers that meet once a month or thereabouts. So if you have a talent, skill or just enthusiasm that could benefit the team in organising 2017’s event then contact Delsia (Chair) or Keith (Secretary) via our Email Us page for futher information. No previous festival experience necessary!

If you want contact about something else, then read on…

Music, Dance & Street Performers

Musical submissions for 2017 will close on 31st January 2017. You can apply after that but most acts will be chosen from those on the selection list in January. The deadline for Youth bands, Dance & Street Acts is more flexible but don’t leave it beyond April.

We only consider acts who are local to Romsey and the surrounding area. Roughly this means within 25 miles. So you need to be based in Southampton, Bournemouth, Salisbury, Andover, Basingstoke, Portsmouth, the Isle of Wight or even Romsey. Beyond that and you will be quietly ignored… Sorry!

For the musical acts then we have a preference for those performing original material or with an original take on existing or traditional material. See Want To Take Part? for further information.

Contact Nigel, Cath or Romsey Youth via the Email Us page.

Like the performers, we like our traders to be based local to Romsey. If you want to trade then contact Keith via our Email Us page. The latest date to apply is 1 month prior to the event.

Quarter, half and full page adverts are available in our 40 page printed programme. Please contact Di via our Email Us page.

Festival Volunteers

The Beggars Fair is always on the look out for Festival Volunteers to assist on the day itself, from 10:50 onwards. Please contact Keith and see the Volunteer page for further information.

Whatever your query, please Email Us.
