Traditional Bulgarian Folklore Dancing Group in Eastleigh, United Kingdom. We are a group of Bulgarians and English, men and women, practising traditional Bulgarian Dance using unique Bulgarian asymmetrical rhythms. This dance style is known in Bulgaria as a Horo. Almost every Village and certainly every ethnic area of Bulgaria has its own costume and dances which we try to re-create here in England. We meet to practice every Friday evening at the Velmore community centre in Eastleigh. Anyone who has an interest in Balkan dance and culture is welcome to join us. We also dance at festivals throughout the year such as the recent Bulgarian and tradition festival in London and we have held a Bulgarian Culture and Dance evening at St Peter’s church in Boyatt Wood.
