Voices of the Forest is an enthusiastic and talented 50-strong choir based in Emery Down. They sing mainly in four-part harmony, and a cappella, creating a wonderfully warm and uplifting sound. Their repertoire encompasses songs from around the world, especially African, Afro-American and latterly Mediterranean songs, folk, gospel and spiritual pieces, many with a freedom theme and many of them just really good fun. They also dip into opera, classical and contemporary genres. Their songs are in many languages, and from many different periods. Their MD is Fabian Lochner, a gifted and inspirational leader. To learn more about them, visit their website www.voicesoftheforest.co.uk or contact Cathy Sherrin on 07884-063385 or email firstname.lastname@example.org, or come along to Emery Down village hall on a Tuesday evening at 7:30.
